Volunteering
San Saba County Friends of Animals is always looking for volunteers in the following capacities: Transport, Events, Spay & Neuter, and Fostering. Below is a short description of each capacity. If you are interested please contact us at [email protected].
Spay & Neuter
SSCFOA has had great success with its Trap, Neuter & Release (TNR) program. Each year we are able to get pets in San Saba County fixed to help stop the unwanted puppies and kittens that are born into the county. If you would like to help with this successful program please email [email protected].
Fostering
Taking in good cats and dogs that need a temporary home while we find their forever home is a wonderful way to help save a pets life. SSCFOA works with the San Saba Animal Hospital to get all of it’s foster pets their shots and vaccinations while we search for new pet owners. We will work with the foster parents to get good pictures and stories for each foster to help promote them on our website, social media and other online resources.
Transport
Transporting dogs/cats in town, within the state or sometimes out of state. It just depends if you are available and want to drive to that destination. You can sign up for what makes sense for you and your vehicle.
Events
Each event is different, but basically consists of spreading awareness of how San Saba County Friends of Animals is making a difference in San Saba County. You will be notified when we need help at an event. Just let us know what you can volunteer for. Every little bit of help we get makes a difference.
